Is your bike dialed for your next race or big event? Check out our latest video where Coach Sofia Marin shares a pre-race equipment checklist to make sure your bike is in great working order, ready for the demands of race day.
There are plenty of things in bike racing that are out of the rider’s control. Take advantage of the things you can control, like making sure your bike and equipment is tuned and fully functional before the big day.
Remember, don’t wait until the night before to check your bike. Regularly tune your bike and replace worn equipment. Plan ahead and give yourself at least few days before the event to make sure everything is dialed and taken care of ahead of time.
NOTE: If you are not familiar with or educated on tuning your bike and making bolt, brake, derailleur adjustments, etc., visit your local bike shop to have a skilled mechanic work on your bike.
You can also empower yourself by taking advantage of a bike maintenance class at shops like Mike’s Bikes or Sports Basement. Never make an adjustment on your bike that you are not confident you can do safely.
