You may have heard about the epic (or possibly ‘beyond epic’) cyclocross races that happened this past weekend in Bend, Oregon. A low front engulfed the region and sent temperatures plummeting into negative double digits. Achieve athlete Ian Conover was ‘unlucky’ enough to make the trip there and battle the challenging conditions.
“I had to pull out of the first day’s race because I couldn’t feel my hands and couldn’t shift. But I had a much better race the second day so I am happy’, Ian reported during his weekly check-in call with his coach, Dana Williams.
Congratulations on a successful cyclocross season, Ian. You dealt with many challenging situations and were able to improve in spite of this. Well done.
Here are a few photos of his races at the Deschutes Brewery Cup.
