Placing 2nd in the 12-hour World Time Trial Championships (age 50-59); 7th overall.
I love the feeling I get from being on the bike. I always feel better after a ride, both physically and mentally. It helps me clear my head. I love the camaraderie I experience with my cycling friends and teammates. We push each other all the time while having fun. When racing, I love that it forces me to push myself outside of my comfort zone and not give in to negative thoughts.
My 2016 Parlee Altum R with the Enve 4.5 wheelset. I first test rode one on a 100 mile ride, it felt so comfortable and like a part of my body. I then test rode a Trek Emonda SLR8 around paradise, descending down camino alto felt sketchy and I know that road like the back of my hand. Also test rode a Cervelo R5 around paradise. Ride was too harsh. Rode the parlee again around paradise and down camino alto at full speed. My thought was that it felt so great between my legs. 🙂 I feel very secure on it in descents now and just enjoy the rush I get from riding it.
Completing 2 double centuries and the Death Ride in 2008. Attempted Marin double century also in 2008, but both knees gave out so had to abandon after 100+ miles. Riding the Rockwell Relay for 5 years in a row.
I think I’d be a dog, specifically our dog. He’s a 90lb 4 year old great dane catahoula mix. He’s very fit, athletic, loving and very loved by all of us.
I’m fluent in German, lived in Yemen, was interviewed on local television regarding the golden bridge.
