Nov 2015

Top accomplishments and/or results since being an Achieve athlete are:

The best part about being an Achieve athlete is:

The aspect I like most about cycling and/or racing is:

After ten years of rowing, the transition to cycling helped me stay in shape while racing allows me to satisfy my desire for competition. I also enjoy all the new places I get to see while out riding.

My favourite bike is:

Specialized Tarmac. The SL2 was my first carbon road bike and I have always ridden one since. I love the snap and versatility of the bike. The Di2 upgrade and the perfect fit without changing out any parts also helps out a fair amount.

The cycling/sporting accomplishment I’m most proud of is:

My top cycling achievement currently is winning the Georgia Cat 4 State Championship in the criterium. The sporting accomplishment would either be racing at the Henley Royal Regatta in 2008 or being a 3 time Division III national rowing champion.

If I could be one animal I would be a:

Cheetah; not only are they the fastest land animal on earth, they are also an apex predator and top of the food chain.

Of the following three facts, two are true and one is false:

I had never been west of the Mississippi until I was 21 years old
I can slam dunk on a 10 foot rim
I designed graphics that covered an NFL stadium.

My goals for the season include:

I’d like to upgrade from Cat 3 to Cat 2 by the end of the season.
Improve my pack navigation and race tactics in races.
Win at least 1 race in 2016
Increase my 30 second and 2 minute power to better keep up with surges.
Increase my threshold to be close/over 5 watts/kg.
