Achieve Athletes

Kim Ford

Currently live in:

Mill Valley, CA

Achieve athlete since:

October 2013

Top accomplishments and/or results since being an Achieve athlete are:

No races yet

The best part about being an Achieve athlete is:

No racing yet but I’m excited to work with Dana to achieve success as a criterium racer.

The aspect I like most about cycling and/or racing is:

While I really love racing my bike, it keeps me motivated to train hard. I think I feel most fortunate to have ridden my bike in so many beautiful places around the world. Whether traveling to a race or training with friends, there truly is no better way to explore than on a bike.

My favourite bike is:

I love my SWORKS Venge because it makes me feel FAST!!!

The cycling/sporting accomplishment I’m most proud of is:

That’s a tough one….either second place finish at Masters Nationals in 2012 or finishing second in the Race Across the West as part of a two-person team. That was definitely the hardest athletic event I’ve done. Makes Ironman seem easy.

If I could be one animal I would be a:

I would be an eagle. Majestic, powerful, revered and able to fly.

Of the following three facts, two are true and one is false:

At 5’10”, I’m the shortest of the 3 McCourt girls.
I learned to ride a horse when I was 3.
If I could I would live in polar fleece.

My goals for the 2014 season include:

Upgrade from Cat 3 to Cat 2
Win Masters Nationals Criterium
3 wins as a Cat 3
6 podium finishes in 2014
