I’ve developed a much more well-rounded musculature system across my whole body. My lower body was already strong but now it’s way stronger. As for the rest? My core and upper body have gained considerable strength the past few months while shedding some pounds, which is cool because I like going uphill. Hard Body Posse fo’ life yo (and racing too of course).
having Dana at my back. He’s exceptionally good at understanding my needs quickly, talking through strategy, and encouraging me when I need it. I’m becoming more confident as an athlete through his confidence in the work I’m putting in. He also puts up with my jokester side, which is cool..
I love the fact that 23mm of rubber separates me from the ground when I’m going 45mph+ downhill. Also, when the stars align on race day and everything just flows. A post-race Coca-Cola is pretty hard to beat too.
My BMC RM01. I’ve ridden and raced it abroad, throughout the US, through sun, rain, hail, snow, dirt, and pretty much everything else. It also likes to go really fast, which is nice.
Placing 5th on the final stage of the Cascade Cycling Classic in Bend, OR and 12th overall last season. I proved to myself I could up my game.
My Chinese spirit animal is a horse, so I guess I’d be one of them. They’re strong and humble, which are qualities I admire and strive towards.
I climbed the Grand Teton in one day. It took 14 hours straight over 14,000 vertical feet of elevation. The steak and beer after tasted like victory.
I can down an entire bottle of Sriracha in one sitting.
I’ve been to Kazakhstan.
