What is your favorite part of being an Achieve athlete?
My favorite part of being an Achieve athlete is getting feedback and knowing I’m supported. There’s also extrinsic motivation that props up my internal motivation. I know that this is something I want and truly enjoy and know that my coach wants me to succeed at it. I get to just follow the plan and work hard. It’s taken away the stress of not knowing if I’m doing it enough/right/etc., which frees up my mental energy.
Nothing makes me feel more free!
My favorite bike is my Juliana Furtado mountain bike. Mountain bikes are much more complicated machines than road bikes, and I love all the different ways they can be dialed in. My Juliana was designed for giddy, fun trail riding and I love it!
I’m most proud of taking the leap into road racing… I was so intimated at first, but boy it is thrilling and rewarding!
I would be my dad’s Australian Shepard, Frankie. She’s got a pretty sweet life of playing fetch, hiking, eating avocados, and hanging out with her chihuahua brother Hank.
I have a degree in Museum Studies. My best friend lives in Peru. I’ve never been to New York.
Hone in on and understand what my strengths are. Finish top 5 in 4 races this season. Finish top 10 in 6 races this season. Upgrade to Cat 3 by next season. Figure out what my ‘dream big’ goal is!
