Achieve Athletes

Aaron Glick

Currently live in:

San Francisco, CA

Achieve athlete since:

March 2016

Top accomplishments and/or results since being an Achieve athlete are:

1st in Napa Valley Dirt Classic Cat 1 35 – 44, 2016, 5th Sea Otter Cat 1 35 – 39, 2016

The best part about being an Achieve athlete is:

The support and feedback from my coach and learning to push myself much further than ever before

The aspect I like most about cycling and/or racing is:

Feeling of improvement or that I did my best. Motivation to get out and explore. Feeling fit feels great. Feeling fast.

My favourite bike is:

My rigid carbon 29er. Its fast and light and perfect for all the dirt roads in Marin, and for cross country racing.

The cycling/sporting accomplishment I’m most proud of is:

2nd (open) in Mendicino 100 MTB race 2014. 3rd 35A Joaqine Miller cross race 2015. 5th 18-34 Expert Lemurian MTB race 2014.  3rd Sport 18-34 Boggs MTB hill climb (on my 32 pound old bike).

If I could be one animal I would be a:

Probably a Grizzly Bear so I could eat salmon and take long naps.

Of the following three facts, two are true and one is false:

I lived in the Amazon for 6 months.

I have 8 siblings.

I have the unofficial record for worlds highest bicycle ghost ride.

My goals for the upcoming season include:
  1. Improve threshold power by 10% by end of May.
  2. Place top 10 (in my category) at Boggs 8hr solo June 4th 2016.
  3. Place 5th or better at at least one cross country race.
  4. Get to 5W/KG FTP (possibly a stretch) by late May.
  5. Enter and complete a 12 or 24 hr solo event (late summer/TBD).
  6. bonus – stay healthy and free of injury
